Before getting started, make sure you have configured your Yubikey with PINs that you have assigned and not the default PINs that come with the Yubikey.

❊ About Generating with Yubikey

Unlike the PIV interface, there is no way to generate GPG keys directly on the Yubikey. You must create them using methods such as the GPG command-line or GUI software like Kleopatra and then transfer them to your Yubikey.
